Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Scientific Publications and Journals Office was established at our university with Senate Decision No. 672 dated October 18, 2023. The aim of our office is to manage a common publication policy for the scientific journals published within the university, enhance the quality of publications, and ensure their national and international recognition. It aims to support the determination of the university's publication policies, facilitate the execution of scientific publication activities, coordinate among university journals, and collaborate with similar coordination offices at other universities engaged in similar initiatives.
The scope of activities of the Office includes promoting or assisting in the promotion of university journals, providing technical support for newly planned journals, conducting evaluation meetings with editors regarding workflow processes, organizing conferences, seminars, courses, and training related to the field of activity, announcing editorship training and meetings both domestically and internationally, increasing the visibility and impact of scientific publications and academic publishing, providing support for the inclusion of journals in national and international indexes, planning activities related to national and international scientific publication efforts, and conducting informative activities on scientific publishing, editing, peer reviewing, and authorship.
